I recently took the plunge and got myself the BAO from Absent Studio in Obsidian and it is perfect. Here is a quick setup of tools and supplies I use for on-the-go urban sketching/drawing. If you’re looking for a bag to take your supplies with you or just to keep them organized in your space, be sure to check out Absent Studio.

I absolutely adore the endless possibilities for this bag. You can use it as an artist bag, a journaling supplies bag; keep it at home or help transport your essentials.

I’m currently using my BAO as an artist bag for my urban sketching essentials. I’ve been meaning to get back into this and this bag has been a life-saver. It has been such a wonderful thing to be able to bring my supplies with me in a neat and fashionable way.

I came across Absent Studio on Instagram thanks to a handful of incredible journalers and artists that I follow and eventually caved. I got my (most likely first) BAO in Obsidian which is a stunning matte black color. However there are a variety to choose from. The BAO is a wonderful traveling bag to carry your art/journalling essentials with you in an organized yet fashionable way. There are also a few add-ons to choose from to further customize this bag to what works best for you.
